Compete Tennis Coaching

Compete Tennis Coaching is a well established and experienced provider of Tennis coaching, accredited by the British LTA and the ATP World Tour, with over 20 years coaching experience around the world with all levels of players ranging from complete beginners to professional players.

The coaching is led by Simon who is a former National Champion, Great Britain North East Regional Champion and Yorkshire Champion amongst many other achievements, including competing at an international level and gaining wins against former Wimbledon main draw players and British Men's number 1s. He left the UK as a junior to train abroad with some of the most respected, renowned and elite level coaches alongside being part of the British Junior Tennis squad, which at that time was based at the Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre.

He eventually made the transition into coaching and has been teaching for around 20 years at locations around the world. He has worked with players in the USA and the Middle East alongside holding Head Coach positions in the UK. He is currently the lead coach for the Yorkshire U14 Boys and is very passionate about improving whoever he is on court with, bringing a wealth of knowledge to every session.

Compete Tennis Coaching is an expert at providing both fun and effective tennis lessons whatever your age and ability, and are currently coaching players ranging from beginners to aspiring pro level players. There is access to both indoor and outdoor courts. Coaching takes place mainly in Leeds whether it be a club, tennis centre, park or your home, but also travel to other areas in the UK when required to work with specific players.

We also supply a fantastic range of Tennis products including all the latest racquets, balls, strings, grips, restringing and racquet customisation service.

Providing Tennis coaching to all ages and abilities all over Leeds and beyond including John Charles Tennis Centre, Roundhay Park, Alwoodley, Moortown, Headingley, Adel, Holt Park, Meanwood, Thorner, Scarcroft, Oakwood, Wetherby, Otley, Chapel Allerton and the Hollies Park.

High Performance
Coaching

The High Performance programme provides a high intensity training environment for players on a professional tennis pathway where excellence, work ethic and discipline are essential both on and off the court. Working closely with partners to ensure that there is an integrated approach to tennis, strength & conditioning, sport science, nutrition and sports psychology. Players are guided along a performance pathway towards routes such as the professional tour and collegiate tennis scholarships in the USA.

We provide support for players that are at County, National and International level who are aiming to play on the ITF Futures & ATP/WTA tours.

We are aware that each individual may require different training methods to help achieve their goal and are connected with some of the best Sports Scientists, Nutritionists, Psychologists & Strength and Conditioning trainers in the country as well as offering a high level of on court training.
